Awesome Watch
My wife bought me a Caliber 2100 in 2008. It is now 2024, and the watch is as accurate as ever. I wore it for every yacht race I participated in for a decade. It has been through h...l and back, and has never lost a second. It's just plain awesome.
Caliber 2100
Arrived as advertised with a full charge! The watch looks great and is easy to read and set. This is a heavier watch, so be prepared for that!
Rugged And Faultless
I had the first edition and gave it to my son. I was so pleased to see this reissue. I ordered it.
The greatest watch of all time? Maybe!
I have many watches in my collection, but these days only two of them get any wrist time: a grail piece I picked up 7 months ago that cost more than ten times this watch, and this stunning Citizen Caliber 2100. The renders do not do this watch justice -- in person, the case and bracelet are just perfect. It's one of the relatively few solar-powered watches on the market that has a 12-hour chronograph. The alarm is not particularly loud, but after a few days, I found myself (usually) waking up for it -- it's super handy for timing parking, laundry, etc. Power reserve arrived one tick away from full, charged to full in just a couple hours, and hasn't moved since -- gotta love Eco-Drive! The sapphire crystal is thick and durable and can take a beating (trust me), and 200m of water resistance to boot -- what more could you want? I guess some would say "a milled clasp!", but honestly, this stamped one is quite comfortable despite the lack of micro-adjustments. I'm not confident a milled one would be this comfortable(!). And that beautiful panda dial, with the integrated bracelet... you really have to see it in person to appreciate how awesome a design it is. This is absolutely Citizen at their best, and the price is reasonable for what you get. It probably shouldn't be a limited edition. If Citizen has ever produced a design classic, the Caliber 2100 is it. Don't ever stop making these, Citizen! Actually, come to think of it, this is the only watch in my collection that has ever gotten compliments -- three times to be exact! Any watch lover will tell you that basically never happens :)
