Reviews
My new Eco Drive
I’m replacing an eco drive I’ve worn over Twenty years. I expect the same performance from this one. There great watches.
Really like watch
Very substantial. Easy to read time and GMT. When I was young thought date magnifier on Rolex was a joke. Now past 40 and realize why, date on Citizen unreadable lol. But really like the watch and anticipate having it forever. Well built, good lum, and solid case and band. Would buy again at this price point.
Functional Beauty
I bought the BJ7128-59E (blue & red sub-dial) a few weeks ago online. The watch is even more striking than the pictures. I love the look and feel on my wrist and the micro adjustment you can make to band size is a huge plus.
Best watch ever!
I have only been looking at this watch for three years to purchase. It was worth every dollar spent and looks great, but it keeps time even better. Several people have commented on it and says that it keeps better time than their more expensive watch. This is my third citizen eco-drive. And when I am ready to add another watch to my collection, you can bet it will say Citizen.
excellent accuracy!
Great product. Very accurate caliber, it runs just like my satellite wave. Comfortable bracelet and clasp. Excellent satin finish. Recommend!
Nicest watch I own
My wonderful wife bought me this watch for our anniversary and I absolutely love it
Awesome!!!
Overall, it's an awesome watch. But I have two complaints. First, I wish that Citizen can allow you to move the hour hand backward as well as forward like the Seiko SUN023, which I also own. I travel to the Far East alot, so this would be extremely helpful for me, since I will be setting hour hand back, instead of forward. Also, I wish Citizen included side holes which would make changing the straps much easier. Other than that, this is an overall good watch. I have the one with the Blue/Florescent Green dial (the BJ7128-59G). I'd like to get one with the Pepsi dial as well. Unfortunately, the Pepsi version didn't drop in price until RIGHT AFTER I bought this one. However, I'm hoping the price would drop more and buy the Pepsi one in the future.
Expect to be impressed
Went to a jewelry store today to kill time looking at watches and never had any intention of making a purchase. Almost made it out and then saw this watch hiding from me. As soon as it hit my hand and I turned it into the light it was all over, had to be mine. Purchased it for what I believed to be a reasonable price for an incredible watch. Normally I’m an automatic/mechanical guy but the other eco drives I have are just too accurate and easy to keep in service so I’m happy to have another. The case on this watch is absolutely stunning. Beautiful brushed finish with some very intriguing angles. Bezel action is crisp, tactile, audible and lines up perfect. Anti reflective sapphire coating, big plus. The lume, oh my gosh, the lume. It’s so bright that on an overcast day you can see it glowing like tritium. I’m gonna say it’s better lume than any skx I own. The bracelet hast the greatest quick adjust I’ve ever seen. I’d say on par with Rolex as far as ease of use and good looks when extended. Certainly better than the extension on a grand seiko. May sound like silly comparisons but this clasp is really that good. Solid beefy bracelet with solid end links. Tricky to size but once it’s sized all you need is the quick adjust. This is my first GMT function in a watch so I can’t tell you much about it other than it works as a GMT. The handset is very clean and crisp, the GMT hand noticeable but not distracting. I would say if you are in the fence...get off it and just buy this watch. I spent just barely north of $400 and I’m not upset at the cost for what I’ve got.
Almost Perfect
I researched for weeks the entire CITIZEN catalogue and found an amazing deal on this watch in Black & Orange. The sapphire crystal and amazing adjustable bracelet did it for me. Weaknesses? It isn't Titanium . . . not a deal breaker. The indices are oversized, which may be fine in deep and dark places, but I'd prefer round pips. And the date is too deep and dark to read, even in good light. Strengths? The bracelet is amazing and easily adjustable for comfort as your wrist expands and contracts. The sapphire crystal is a big plus. It is a good looking watch . . . and, the EcoDrive.
