I was so happy with the green Promaster Tough, that I purchased the other two variations in order to mix and match. Warning: The stainless steel bracelet uses a different spring bar than the ballistic fabric strap. You can purchase both the stainless bracelet and specific spring bars directly from Citizen, if you want to dress up the versions with the fabric strap. The middle part of the spring bar is about 1mm shorter, in order to install the stainless bracelet with the shoulders, onto the lugs. I'm really happy with the design aesthetic and the finish quality and toughness of these watches. The sapphire crystal on my older Citizen has been scratch free for almost a decade.
Built tough, sleek, black, light weight and elegant.
Only had it a month so the rest of time has yet to happen. Will update if anything changes. However, so far it''s great and works as advertised. The strap does become very uncomfortable quite quickly, but with how inexpensive replacement straps are not a big deal as the watch itself does what it is supposed to. Found a silicone rubber with a preferred clasp for under $10.

Hi, my name is Joe and I'm a watch enthusiast. I freely admit it. I have dozens upon dozens of watches. Many G-shocks. Some other Citizens. Other brands. How I missed the Promaster Tough until now is beyond me. I love a tough watch. Unlike most of my g-shocks, this Citizen Promaster is smaller and MUCH lower profile (height). While I typically like a slightly larger case diameter (44mm), 42mm is okay but it's the lowest I'll go. If this matters to you, the second hand hits the center of all of the minute markers around the dial. The monocoque case back is rather unique and makes the watch both tougher and lighter. This watch looks beautiful, is VERY lightweight on this strap, is super comfortable, and is no doubt a tough watch. Thing is, it would fit in well on a hike or at a campsite, but also out on the town at a nice restaurant. It is a GOOD LOOKING watch!! The dial is simple yet very easily readable. I know from previous experience that Eco-drives are basically bulletproof in reliability. And Citizen has amazing Customer Service. Glad I found this Promaster Tough!!!

Bought another citizen watch a few weeks earlier but it didn’t have the sapphire cover and it/the chrome scratches really easily. This was a great price at Macy’s so I bought it and love it. I have a 7” wrist and I wear it on the 4th to last band hole which fits perfectly and there’s room to move when temps get warm and skin expands. Lume is very bright for several minutes and and just a second in the sun lights the lume up during the day and you can see the markers pop with color. I wanted something that looked clean and didn’t have a cluttered face. Great finish, easy to work the crown and hope to have this for years!

Unlike the Inox I own, the Citizen case is extremely scratch resistant and the second hand hits the markers with precision. The Ballistic Cordura strap feels much more durable than the Victorinox rubber strap. The Promaster wears better because of it's thin profile. Sometimes the Inox won't fit under a shirt cuff. The biggest and best difference is Citizen's Eco-Drive technology. I highly recommend the Promaster Tough.

Great Watch
I've been using this watch for over a year now. After nearly 30 years with numerous servicings and battery changes on my old Infantry, it was time for something better and boy is this ever better! It is very accurate...like to less than a minute +/- a month. It never needs a battery and it's easily as tough or more so than my Victorinox. And, important to me is that it is easy to read in day or night. And yes, the glow lasts all night.

Plumbers/pipe fitters timepiece
So far, it’s great! I made my own bracelet for the watch, I didn’t like the silicone/nylon combo; it was too uncomfortable right off the bat. The watch is the important part anyhow, and it is holding its own in the world of hard knocks and pipe fitting!
