With a case design inspired by a vintage perfume bottle and featuring the curved, sleek lines of May bells, the bezel shape has a distinct feature at the 3 o’clock position, where the crown resembles an elegant perfume stopper. Featuring a white, mother-of-pearl dial made of recycled materials, including a recycled polycarbonate base under the dial, and showcased on a sleek, silver-tone stainless steel case and bracelet. The dial also has a diamond that gives focus to the 8 o’clock position and is finished with a sapphire crystal. I’ve had this watch for a week now and love it! The watchface is large enough to be easily read along with the dark blue hands. One of the reviews said the blue color of the mother of pearl face was not really blue but mine is. The color changes some with the light but overall it looks blue, especially if I am wearing a blue top. The watch band is smooth and fits well. I love the little sparkle near the stem along with the blue sapphire on the end of the stem. Unusual stunning watch.

I’ve been in jewelry sales for over 10 years and Citizen watches have always been apart of my job. I’m not a watch person, but I’ve seen a lot of nice Citizens over the years. Some people keep theirs for over 20 years! When I saw the L Mae in stainless steel with a blue mother of pearl dial I had to have it. It’s so elegant and perfect for me.

Elegant and Efficient
My husband paid for the L Mae watch as a 30th anniversary gift to me after our cruise to Alaska. It replaced the Citizen my 3 sons gave me in 2000. I know it will serve me well for many years. I love the diamond at the 8:00 point and the special look of the winding stem. The eco feature means no more running to the battery store once a year. It is both elegant and efficient.

My husband won this watch in an Army Air Force Exchange Service Sweepstakes. It is a wonderful watch. I never heard of an Eco Drive. Until getting this watch. So glad I never have to change batteries with this watch. It is so beautiful. Just the right size for my small wrist. Wish I had one years ago. I could have saved so much money on batteries over the years & gasoline going to the watch repair shop.

What can I say? The sizing is perfect, thank you Laura! It's an absolutely wonderful timepiece, keeping accurate time as the second hand is essential for my line of work. Every time I look to see what time it is I'm amazed at the craftsmanship. This watch replaced a watch I had for 20 years so I really did my homework to find something I'd love wearing on my wrist that wasn't technology savvy!
