Reviews
so beautiful, but discontinued
This has a great dial, case shape, dimensions and water resistance. Too bad that it has been discontinued. The models that replaced this often have less WR (water resistance), have too large case sizes, they have less subtle dials. This is something in between a Rolex Explorer and a field watch. I just wish it came with sapphire crystal. great watch, fits great. beautiful and understated. I purchased a second one used, as I do not see any offerings than can replace this.
Basic functions, advanced durability and function
Bought on 2010 for legibility, luminosity and WR200 rating. Haven't taken it off except to replace band or for decon. Eco-Drive negates the diminished WR of annual case-opening for battery replacements. Worn in acute healthcare environment, residential renovation work, outdoor pursuits on bikes, in boats and starched shirts. This watch goes everywhere, with everything. Will be scavenging stores for remaining stock of the D/C model, then resale websites. A loss for Citizen, and for me when I can no longer find another for myself. A second one I bought five years ago was loaned to a nursing student I mentor and not relinquished yet. The sum offered in replacement has been escalating annually.
Best Watch Ever!
I bought this watch in 2008 before deployment to SW Asia and it has run great since that time even with all the sand and dust and temperature variations. I am hard on watches, usually they last 2 years at most. I have gone through 4 bands on this one and it still keeps time.
